Sometimes I help friends and former colleagues in sketching out new product concepts and ideas, coming up with UX design ideas and working through issues and other wrinkles. It’s a good way to keep up my design skills and keep my design brain active.
The first slide in the gallery below is a screenshot video of a product concept I designed in late 2020 in Sketch and imported to Figma to set up as a prototype for testing. This prototype was designed for an iPhone 12 Max.
My Process: I gather product requirements and goals from stakeholders throughout the company, from which I create two to three sets of wireframes and user flows in Sketch for discussion and testing. I import those Sketch files into Figma to create prototypes for internal testing. After approval, I manage end-to-end development of those features/products with the engineering and front-end team to release. Incremental product design improvements are determined by ongoing A/B testing, traffic data analysis and user needs/feedback. Contribute graphic design when needed to help out team members.
